Megan is very excited to be joining the Lost Baggage Musical Theater crew on stage for the very first time. She has performed in various dance, singing and theater shows in the past, but is debuting her musical theater career with Forbidden Love. She is incredibly grateful for her fellow cast members and to the producers for making her dream come true!

Lisa Callahan

Having previously performed in North Bay, ON on stage (Les Miserables, Cats, All Shook Up), in the pit (Anything Goes, the King and I, 42nd Street), and working as props master (Fiddler on the Roof, Les Miserables), Lisa is thrilled to be working with Lost Baggage Musical Theatre for the second time, this round making her directorial debut with Forbidden Love. By day, Lisa works as a compliance officer, and can frequently be spotted bopping along to show tunes while populating spreadsheets and filling out forms. She would like to thank the cast and production team of Forbidden Love for their hard work, and to you, the audience, for supporting the arts.

This is Paola’s third cabaret and fifth production with LBMT! She has also been involved with other community theatre companies such as The Greely Players and ITR Theatre (Manotick). She is thrilled to be singing and performing again with past and new friends in Forbidden Love.

Ashley is a preschool teacher by day and theatre lover by night! She’s been doing theatre since the age of 12, starting out in a local theatre company in the city of Cornwall and moving up to different theatre companies in the Ottawa area! She was last seen in LBMT’s A Quarantunes Cabaret: Pride Edition last summer and is excited to be a part of the Forbidden Love team!

Hailing from the United States, Jason is currently on a study permit attending Carleton University as an MA in Music and Culture candidate. Previous accompanying work includes West Side Story, Rent, The Last Five Years, Songs for a New World, Avenue Q, Little Women, and The Wedding Singer. Jason’s primary instrument is percussion and he has performed with many American orchestras. He is very excited to be in Canada and working with Lost Baggage Musical Theatre!

Allie is excited to be performing musical theatre again! An attendee of the St Lawrence College Musical Theatre program from 2011 to 2014, she performed in shows such as Anything Goes and Les Miserables. She took a different path in life but missed the joy of performing. She is realizing her love of theatre and is excited to be on stage again.

Curran Hall

In high school, when thrown into a dress complete with fake boobs, butt, and shoved out on stage (in heels no less) to be the Wicked Stepmother in Cinderella, Curran was immediately hooked on theatre. He graduated from Algonquin College’s Performing Arts Program and has played several roles with wide ranges and has a penchant for the comedic and absurd. Curran loves singing, acting, developing characters and voices. This is Curran’s first time with Lost Baggage and he is thrilled to take part in this cabaret.

Dorian Jensen

Dorian is delighted to be here for his fourth Valentines cabaret and eighth overall show with LBMT. He’s also been featured in cabarets produced by Tuba Czar, Toto Too, and CMTS, but is first and foremost a choral singer, having been a part of numerous community and university choirs over the past eighteen years. Currently he is a longtime member of Tone Cluster, Ottawa’s only 2SLGBT+ mixed-voice choral group, and encourages anyone reading this to come to their next concert or audition as a singer.

Jesse Kahat
Choreographer
Jesse Kahat is an actor, director, choreographer, dance instructor, and music teacher. She has a BA in Theatre Directing from the University of Northern Colorado and an MA in Business Communications. She has been teaching Ballroom dance since 2005 and has been a music instructor since 2011. Jesse was commissioned by the National Arts Centre to create and teach a weekly performing arts class for children and their parents/caregivers. The highly successful program has been running since 2017. Jesse was a recipient of a 2020 Canada Performs Grant from the NAC; bringing a virtual version of her program into the homes of children everywhere. She has directed 2 shows for Lost Baggage Musical Theatre and has been in two other LBMT shows.

Emma Kazmierowski

Emma is a Toronto native but she’s blessed to call Ottawa her home while she finishes up her Honours Psychology and Linguistics undergrad degree at UOttawa. Having previously performed in Scream Queens (2022), 7 Stories (2019), Little Women (2019), and Laundry and Bourbon (2018), Forbidden Love (2023) is her second Ottawa musical, and second performance with LBMT. Emma can’t wait to hit the stage again! She’s honoured to bring to life these beloved characters from some of the best musicals of all time. When she’s not singing and dancing on stage, you can find her with her ΖΘΞ sorority sisters or playing video games with friends.

Originally from the Ottawa Valley, Andrew moved to the city to attend the University of Ottawa in its theater program. Having performed in shows such as Mamma Mia! and William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream Andrew is thrilled to add Lost Baggage’s Forbidden Love to his list! for his first show with LBMT, he couldn’t be more excited or more proud of his fellow cast and crew members

Alana Malanga

Alana Malanga is in her final year at uOttawa for Theatre and Psychology. She is thrilled to be stage managing her first Cabaret! She has had the honour of stage managing past productions such as uOttawa’s Mother Medea and Les Belles Sœurs, as well as @TheMayor, performed at the Ottawa Fringe! When she is not stage managing, she loves to perform on stage and work in film! She wishes the cast of Forbidden Love the best of luck on their performance, and would like to thank Joy Mwandemange for giving her the opportunity to work with Lost Baggage!

Joy is an actress, director, and all-around performer. She graduated from Carleton University with a B.Mus (Hons) with a specialization in Musical Theatre Voice. She is a board member of Lost Baggage Musical Theatre (LBMT) and has directed, musically directed and choreographed a number of their productions. Joy is thrilled to be a part of Forbidden Love as a cast member and she hopes to pave her way to Broadway with many more of these opportunities. Past credits include Anne (Oh Canada Eh!?), Blanche Barrow (Bonnie & Clyde: The Musical, CMTS), X (workshop of Black & Blue Matters, NAC/Black Theatre Workshop), Mona (Chicago, CMTS), Ensemble (RENT, Orpheus) & Ensemble (Legally Blonde: The Musical, Orpheus).

Emily O’Kane

Emily O’Kane is an actor, director, and musician, performing both on stage and in the pit. She holds a BA in Music and Theatre Performance from Bishop’s University and a Graduate Certificate in Arts Administration and Cultural Management from Humber College. This is Emily’s fourth time working with Lost Baggage, and second time directing with them. A deep love for musical theatre runs in her veins, and she is so thrilled to celebrate the hard work, humour and incredible talent of the cast of Forbidden Love!

Jordan Quayle

Jordan is so excited to be performing once more with Lost Baggage! After taking part in the Valentines Cabaret last year, she just couldn’t say no to auditioning again! While being a Theatre student at uOttawa, Jordan has been a part of many different musicals and plays, including ‘I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change!‘ and ‘The Arsonists‘ this past November! Jordan loves the stage and she is so excited to be onstage once more for this amazing cabaret.

This is Brittany’s first performance with Lost Baggage and she is excited to join the team of wonderful cast and crew. Brittany has been performing since she was 5 years old and recently returned to Ottawa after performing in Montreal. You may have seen her in many of the CEng Musical productions at Carleton University. She is grateful to be back in show biz and hopes you all “feel the love tonight”!

Lili is excited to be producing her first musical theatre cabaret! More commonly seen on stage, she is excited to be part of the production team of this show. When not producing cabarets, she is an avid voice teacher in the area, teaching teenagers and young adults to sing in their authentic voice. She hopes everyone enjoys the show!

Nicole is a full-time desk dweller and a long-time local theatre lover who’s giving it a try from the other side! She’s loved theatre and performing since she was a child and has been looking for opportunities since moving to Ottawa to study theatre at the University of Ottawa. This is her first real musical performance and she is so excited to be a part of this production!

Andre is excited to spread some love with the cast and crew of Forbidden Love. She grew up doing musical theatre with the Missoula Children’s Theatre and worked as a professional Tour Actor/Director with them for almost 2 years, traveling all over the United States and Canada. This is her second performance with Lost Baggage.

Born and raised in Ottawa, this valley girl is thrilled to be a part of her fourth production with Lost Baggage Musical Theatre! When this local performer is not performing, she enjoys reading comic books, drawing or painting, reading, playing with her cat, going on long walks, and traveling! Euan has lost track of the number of shows that Lost Baggage Musical Theatre has generously allowed him to take part in, but most recently you might have seen him in Clue: The Musical (2021), Music of the Night (2022), and Quarantunes Cabaret: Pride Edition (2022). He has also performed with TotoToo Theatre in I’m Not That… Cabaret (2022) and Avenue Q (2019). He is excited to be apprentice director for LBMT’s upcoming production Putting it Together coming April 2023–tickets available now!
