Lost Baggage is excited to be celebrating five years of theatre! To kick-off the season, we are starting with our annual Halloween-themed show. Start your celebration off with a bang at Chicago! Next, prepare to reminisce at our following production in November and December: Forgotten Treasures. This cabaret will be a collection of the highlight performances from our first four years. The show will have a nod to every past production we have done. Our fifth and final Valentine’s Cabaret will be a collection of love songs from rock musicals. Love On the Rocks will delve into the depths of different types of love while always delivering a steady beat! LBMT is proud to partner with Music In Greenboro for a second year to produce another hour-long matinée cabaret series. This year’s theme is “Lost and Found”, and the show will include the mini-musical, Run This Town. To end the season, we are producing the favourite broadway classic, Guys and Dolls. This golden-era show is a musical romantic comedy involving the unlikeliest of Manhattan pairings: a high-rolling gambler and a puritanical missionary, a showgirl dreaming of the straight-and-narrow and a crap game manager who is anything but. We hope to see you around Lost Baggage this year, whether it be on the stage, in the audience, or behind the scenes!

Welcome to the roaring 1920s, where glamour, crime, and sensational headlines collide in the sultry and seductive world of Chicago – the musical sensation that took the world by storm!
Set in the heart of prohibition-era Chicago, this Tony Award-winning musical follows the riveting tale of Roxie Hart, a sassy and ambitious nightclub dancer, who finds herself entangled in a web of murder, fame, and ruthless manipulation. When Roxie becomes the prime suspect in the sensational killing of her lover, her life takes a thrilling turn as she hires the cunning and charismatic lawyer, Billy Flynn, to defend her.
In a city where justice is for sale and media attention can make or break a case, Roxie’s story intertwines with that of another captivating murderess, Velma Kelly – a vaudeville star with her own scandalous secrets. As the two vixens vie for the spotlight and fight for their lives, they’ll stop at nothing to secure their freedom and escape the gallows.
Featuring a scintillating jazz-inspired score, including show-stopping hits like “All That Jazz,” “Cell Block Tango,” and “Razzle Dazzle,” Chicago will have you on the edge of your seat, tapping your feet, and mesmerized by the electrifying performances.

At the heart of the cabaret is the extraordinary ten-minute musical, Run This Town. Transport yourself back to the roaring 1920s, a time of gangsters and jazz, as you delve into the world of a charismatic yet frustrated gangster seeking to expand his horizons. Intrigued by the desire to work alongside a seasoned professional, he soon discovers that things aren’t always what they appear to be. As he navigates the intricate web of trust, loyalty, and deception, he learns that true allies can emerge from the unlikeliest of places.
Through a captivating blend of jazzy tunes and comedic charm, Run This Town explores the essence of camaraderie and the complexities of friendships amidst a backdrop of secrets and hidden agendas. This delightful gem is just one of the many gems that will grace the stage during the Lost and Found cabaret!
We will be looking for 8 performers to cast in this show. Each performer will have at least one solo or duet song, participate in two ensemble numbers, and in Run This Town. The show will run for approximately sixty minutes for two matinée performances at different locations in Orleans, central Ottawa, and South Keys.
Run This Town is a jazzy comedy about a 1920’s gangster named Big Al who is frustrated with his friends and accomplices, and wants to work with and learn from a pro. He laments his current friends and their botched crimes “RUN THIS TOWN.” He soon meets a mysterious stranger who promises him he can learn from his friend, a real pro “NOWHERE TO HIDE.” He is taken to a jazz club where the Hairdo Sisters greet him “THERE’S NOTHING SHADY GOING ON IN THIS JOINT.” He meets One-Eyed Pete, who isn’t as he seems “THE CONFESSION.” Al soon realizes that the people he idolized aren’t all they’ve portrayed to be- and sometimes you need to stick with your friends to make an honest living out of a life of crime “RUN THIS TOWN (REPRISE).”
