Get ready for an unforgettable night of musical theatre as the talented participants of Lost Baggage Musical Theatre’s Take-Off Performance Development Program take the stage! Over the past nine weeks, these aspiring performers have been working tirelessly, honing their skills through private vocal lessons, group workshops, and masterclasses in acting, dance, audition techniques, and more.

This year’s showcase features an eclectic mix of musical theatre solos, powerful scenes, and dynamic ensemble numbers, handpicked to highlight the incredible progress these artists have made. From timeless classics to contemporary hits, each performance will demonstrate their growth and versatility as true triple threats. MEET THE CAST

Christopher Adrien

Maeve Devries

Maeve Devries (she/they) is an Ottawa-born singer, songwriter and performer who has been involved in music and theatre throughout her life. She studied Media Production with a minor in Music and Culture at Toronto Metropolitan University. During her studies, she was a member of award-winning varsity a cappella team RESONATE and held the role of Executive Director from 2020-2022. She is also an independent music artist — you can find her on streaming services as Maeve Delia. After performing in two Lost Baggage Musical Theatre cabarets, Maeve is excited to be part of Take-Off!

Jade Petgrave-Cayley

Jade Petgrave-Cayley (they/them) is thrilled to make their musical theatre debut at Take-Off! Originally from Toronto, they moved to Ottawa to study psychology at Carleton University. Jade has spent the past five years working in queer and trans non-profits, contributing to community-focused initiatives. Outside of theatre, they are an experienced poet and visual artist. They are passionate about self-expression and are excited to share their growth and joy through these new-to-them mediums.

Kay Cormier

Kay Cormier (he/they) has been an artist and big nerd their entire life. Currently, Kay does administrative work at a clinic, runs trivia bi-weekly, and streams RPGs online. However, their skills and interests are wide and varied, from acting and improv, to game design and taking naps. This is his first foray into musical theatre, though it has been a lifelong obsession.

Isaac Mitchell

Gil Skoll

Gil Skoll (they/them) has been involved in music and theatre for most of their life, but after several years away, they took time to explore drag king performance. This show marks their exciting return to the stage, and they’re thrilled to perform alongside such a talented cast. Gil is looking forward to discovering Ottawa’s vibrant theatre scene. This winter, they will also begin studying massage therapy at Algonquin College. Outside of theatre, they love painting, drawing, and other forms of visual art.

Rachel Dalliday

Ifeoma Nnagbo

Ifeoma Nnagbo is a multi-hyphenate Ottawa native of Nigerian heritage. As a University of Ottawa, Social Sciences, Sociology and Communication graduate she wears many hats as a recognizable face within the professional and artistic space. In addition to receiving notable ‘Dream Team’ and ‘Innovation Icon’ Awards she has also appeared as an ambassador, performer, model, and actress on over a dozen local and international projects with features on Rogers Live TV, Hallmark, Oprah Winfrey Network, and Legacy Awards. She graces the Lost Baggage Musical Theatre stage as a safe space of ongoing learning, development and celebration of art in all its forms, and hoping to truly Take-Off and bring her expertise to new heights!

Amanda Smart

Amanda Smart (she/her) is delighted to make her musical theatre debut in this showcase. She has been dedicated to dance from a young age, performing in numerous shows with Scream Dance Academy in Montreal. Amanda brings her love of movement and storytelling to this new chapter in her creative journey, expanding into singing and acting. When not on stage, she is a dedicated makeup artist and recreation therapist. Amanda is grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow alongside such an inspiring group of performers and hopes you enjoy the show!
